Blossom was incorporated end of 2007 after developing a unique product suite for which patents are pending. Our team consists of highly motivated and talented professionals with strong professional and academic backgrounds in both education and the corporate world.

Roey Cohen, CTO and Founder
His passion is to create complex software applications during the late hours of night. Roey Leads Blossom KC's R&D department and is responsible for the all technical aspects and development activities of the Blossom Suite and our next generation software. During the last 10 years Roey worked on a variety of projects including infrastructure security and software development on a multitude of platforms in the Israeli Army, as well as for Ness Technologies. With a BSc. In Computer Sciences, Roey's technical whit and creativity shine through in the ease of use and sophistication of the Blossom product suite.

Kalia Moshenberg, Founder
Kalia's knowledge in how to translate pedagogical in-depth knowledge into tangible product ideas is second to none. Her independent view of things is a source of inspiration to the team. In addition to her BA in English and Social Studies from the Hebrew University and a diploma in advanced teaching systems in the English language from Oxford University in England she has extensive hands on educational experience. She is now working on the implementation of Blossom College.

Tal Nevo, Active Partner
Tal holds a BSc. In Industrial Engineering and an MBA and is currently a PhD candidate in e-Learning in the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology. He completed the exclusive Mamram course as an officer and served 13 years as a Major in the Israeli Navy. He founded and managed the Navy School for Computer training and as such implemented a variety of e-learning processes. He received a prestigious honor from the Army for outstanding achievements on e-Learning education. Tal has extensive experience in IT related projects and knowledge management systems. Tal is responsible for all product management activities, support as well as the Educational segment in Blossom.

Prof. Ido Erev
Prof. Ido Erev is the head of Max Wertheimer Minerva center for Cognitive Research in the faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management at the Technion, and the incumbent of the Women's Division - ATS Academic Chair. He joined the Technion in 1990 after completing his PhD in Quantitative Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel hill, and was promoted to Full Professor in 2004. He served as a research associate in Economics at Pittsburgh University (1996-1997), "Michael A. Gould Fellow" at Columbia Business School (2000-2002), "Marvin Bower Fellow" at Harvard Business School (2007-2008), and a member of the behavioral economics group at the Israel Institute for Advanced Studies (2010).
Prof. Erev studies learning and decision processes. He focuses on factors that impair learning, and on the development of methods to address these problems. The experimental research of Prof. Erev and his co-workers reveals that an important part of the difficulties during learning are a result of the tendency to rely on small samples of experiences. This tendency leads to four main problems: (1) underweighting of rare events, (2) learned helplessness (when the probability of insight in each effort is low), (3) lack of focus, and counterproductive reckless behavior (when most strategies lead to good outcomes), and (4) Big Eyes effect (dissatisfaction). The theoretical research conducted by Prof. Erev and his co-authors demonstrates that these problems can be captured with a simple model assuming that decisions are driven by similarity-based sampling from memory of small sets of experiences. This model outperformed other models in two international choice prediction competitions organized by Prof. Erev.
The applied research conducted by Prof. Erev examines different solutions to these problems. One line of research reveals the value of interactive learning systems to prevent learned helplessness. Wise usage of computerized software can reduce the tendency of students to give up too early and develop the incorrect belief that they lack the ability to succeed. A second line demonstrates the value of gentle rule enforcement policies to enhance safety climate and solve social problems. The basic idea behind these applications is that the frequency of reinforcements is more important than their magnitude.
